My surgery went well. I'll be home tomorrow after only three days in hospital.
It will be a bit more than three weeks before I can work on the boat though. It will take seven weeks to heal and I can't even drive for at least three weeks. Oh well.

Really not as bad as I'd expected. |
Hope you will have a speedy recovery

Thanks mate. I'm doing better than I believed possible. No pain and better movement than I've had in years. Back to work Friday. We have been without power for three days due to a savage storm wrecking havoc here, but at least we are warm! All the best with your build.

Good luck with recovery. Hopefully you will be working on Gath Mor sooner than expected.
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, you can hopefully continue to pore over the plans and figure out how everything goes together. It really helps to build it in your head before you try to build it for real.
Another tip: use either a large scanner or a digital camera to get digital copies of your plans so you can simply call up the appropriate sheet on your computer. It is so much easier than unrolling, finding the right page, then re-rolling after you are done.

Thank you Wayne, I am healing really well and should be back at it soon.
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I will be off to France in July to enjoy the honeymoon we put off last year. It will be a time of healing for us both as she is slowly recovering from frozen shoulder syndrome. We have learned so much this past year. Some good times and some learning experiences, but I'd not swap them for anything. It is our experiences that define us.
So many things to do, so much life to live!
Your boat, like Anders' , looks awesome.
I dream of my "Frabjous Day" and hope to have a grin as big as yours too!
Hope your upcoming summer sees you and your wonderful family safe and enjoying some excellent sailing.
Warm regards,
RIchard
